I am in this month's issue of Mosaic

In the latest issue of Mosaic, Oxford University Press’ inhouse magazine, I talk about a typical day working on Philippine English at Oxford University and Oxford Dictionaries, for me the best places in the world for language research. If you read this and think, “Sounds like a perfect day to me!”, you might want to consider a career in lexicography. Or if you think, “Philippine English! Sounds fascinating!”, you might want to know more about our own variety of English and in its place in the wider English-speaking world. In either case, please feel free to contact me for any questions or comments.

  3. Hello Danica! First, I want to congratulate you for your hard work. I am also a Filipino but has recently migrated to Europe. I never appreciated my knowledge of the English as much as when I went out of the country. Like you, I believe that Filipino English deserves to be recognized in the world. For all its peculiarities, there is no doubt that we have owned it.

  4. Danica can I ask you for some references on Philippine English or articles I could read, even communities to join? I am currently enrolled in an English Grammar school online and my topic of research is Philippine English. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!
